New Year's Eve 2022 warehouse party promises 'biggest night in Bristol'

A Bristol club promoter has announced it plans to host the "biggest New Year's party in Bristol" at a warehouse venue. The club night with Alternate will mark the grand opening of a new event space said to be in a central location in the BS2 area.

Alternate has a ten-year history of hosting Soundsystem and club events in Bristol. It has already announced 13 DJs set to play across three stages on December 31, opening at 9pm.

In a statement on Instagram, the club promoter said: "To celebrate the grand opening of an exciting new event space that we have been given the keys to (Central Warehouse), we’re moving the huge Overmono NYE show in and joining forces with @shangrilart, alongside @the_tufflife to present Bristol’s biggest NYE party!! Expect serious sound production, visuals, decor and even a bespoke art gallery and cocktail bar, curated by the ShangrilART team!"

The countdown set will be fronted by Overmono. Fans of garage and techno will be treated to the sounds of Sully, Naina, Addison Groove and Gotsome.

This New Year's Eve event comes in the wake of several new warehouse venues opening in Bristol in recent years. Most recently, guests to a secret Halloween party were sent to the location of a new warehouse just outside the city centre.

Lost Horizon opened in July 2021 headed up by the team behind Shangri-La, one of the most popular areas at the legendary Glastonbury Festival. Alternate will be hosting a Christmas party at this venue on December 16, with a lengthy roster of DJs on the decks to see the night through. Tickets start at £6 with doors opening at 10pm.

Several big Bristol venues are also planning to go big to see in 2023, with Motion also promising its 'biggest-ever' New Year's Eve rave headlined by Eats Everything.
