New Wetherspoons to open at Leeds shopping centre

A new Wetherspoons is opening in Leeds this autumn. The Scribbling Mill will be coming to the White Rose Shopping Centre after work began on construction on August 8.

The pub's name is inspired by the history and heritage of the surrounding area in South Leeds. The local heritage site Crank Mill in nearby Morley provided its name.

It is a grade II listed building built in 1790, was the country's first steam-powered mill. It was a scribbling mill, where wool was combed and prepared for spinning.
