A new Welcome Break service station has opened in Nottinghamshire after months of construction. The service station, which officially opened on Saturday, March 4, is home to a Starbucks Drive-Thru, Burger King Drive-Thru, Pret, Greggs and a Budgens convenience store.
Located off the A1 at the roundabout that connects Balderton and Fernwood, near Newark, it also has plenty of parking for cars, 12 high powered chargers for electric vehicles, as well as HGV parking and HGV fuel pumps for drivers. More than 80 new jobs have been created by the site.
To celebrate the opening guests were able to see a real F1 car and children had their faces painted. The Town Mayor of Newark, Councillor Laurence Goff, also unveiled a special plaque to mark the day.
