A local Derry business is today launching their new Taproom, which will showcase the best of their local produce.
The Walled City Brewery, based in Derry's Ebrington Square, are celebrating this expansion which will allow them to enhance their existing tours and tasting experiences as well as providing a new weekend bar destination.
Owner James Huey told MyDerry about the excitement of opening this new Taproom to the public.

He said: "This Taproom is so unique in that everything we serve has to be made by us behind the scenes. Beer-wise that is fine but it also means we are making our own vodka, gin, wine. It is going to be a real local phenomenon hopefully.
"The whole project has been designed by my sister Yvonne Clark, her and her business partner within Clarke and Whiteman have designed a really unique industrial interior. As much as it is all about keeping it local it is also a family business."
The Walled City Brewery has been situated within Ebrington Square since 2015. Now, they are hoping that the establishment of new businesses in the square will help boost its night time economy.
James said: " I think once the hotel opens next summer it will bring a night time economy to the square. We can be busy on a Saturday night but once you step outside there is nothing happening so hopefully this will change.
"I thought I would be more nervous but I am excited because we know what we are doing now. We know what we can do and it is what the public have asked for, for more of a bar environment.
"During the week we can do our tours and tastings and masterclasses and then at the weekend we can enjoy life as a bar and everything the customer enjoys will be made here. I do not know anywhere else doing something similar.
"We are in a position now where we can give people a really great night."
The Taproom launches today, Friday September 23, at 4.00pm with Brews and Beats.
