The Viking Venus cruise liner is making a return visit to Liverpool today (Saturday) as part of a 14-day round-Britain voyage.
The Norwegian-themed vessel left Bergen on July 29, and is touring around locations in Scotland, Ireland and Wales, before arriving at London Tilbury where the voyage terminates on August 12.
The Viking Venus is one of the newest ocean ships, having only gone into service last year. It has capacity for 930 guests and is described as an "all-veranda small ship", which means it can dock where larger ships cannot and also offers all its guests sweeping ocean views from their rooms.

It was officially named by the broadcaster Anne Diamond on May 17, 2021. The Venus has eight identical sister ships which together make up the Viking ocean fleet, after the name of the operator Viking.
The Venus features the Viking Living Room, decorated with classic Viking touches and where even the bar is inspired by ancient longships. There is also The Spa, which contains the Snow Grotto - this is described as "perhaps the most unique treatment space at sea. It acts as a part of the centuries old Nordic tradition of alternating hot and cold treatments to detoxify," along with a music venue created in the image of a 1940s Hollywood jazz lounge.
