New trailer drops for Harry and Meghan's explosive Netflix show with air date confirmed

A second trailer for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's bombshell Netflix docuseries has dropped featuring a sobbing duchess and the prince claiming he was terrified - and it also confirms it will air on Thursday.

The brand new explosive promo clip emerged today and features Harry and Meghan talking about their lives in royal family and the hierarchy within it and claiming there is a leaking and planting of stories.

It's also been confirmed the first episodes will drop this Thursday (December 8) and on the Thursday after (December 15) the remaining episodes will be available.

Harry says in the new teaser: "There's a hierarchy of the family. You know, there's leaking but there's also planting of stories.

And later adds: "It's a dirty game."

Meghan also says: "I realised they're never going to protect you" and is then shown wiping away tears.

The trailer begins showing Harry in car with his voiceover saying: "It is really hard to look back on it now and go 'What on earth happened?'"

Meghan then looks distraught as she travels in a car before pictures are shown of their engagement photoshoot and then a news clip voiceover from Piers Morgan says: "She's becoming a royal rock star".

Pictures then show the rapturous reception the couple got in their early days before Meghan is seen saying "and then" before snapping her fingers - and Harry says: "Everything changed."

A photo of the royal family at Trooping the Colour in 2019 appears and Harry says: "There is a hierarchy in the family. You know, there's leaking but there is also planting of stories."

Meghan's lawyer Jenny Afia then appears and tells the camera: "There was a war against Meghan to suit other people's agendas" before Bot Sentinel CEO Christopher Bouzy says: "It's about hatred, it's about race."

At the same time, Meghan can be seen looking up at the camera in distress before Harry holds his head in his hands with as his pregnant wife stands in the background and then tells the camera: "It's a dirty game."

He then adds: "The pain and suffering of women marrying into this institution this feeding frenzy" while pictures of his late mother Princess Diana can be seen.

Meghan says: "I realised they are never going to protect you" as shots are shown of photographers clamouring for pictures."

The duchess is then seen crying again while Harry explains: "I was terrified, I did not want history to repeat itself."

The trailer then ends with Harry saying: "No one knows the full truth. We know the full truth."

It comes as the Royal Family have been warned to brace themselves for their worst nightmare as Harry and Meghan’s bombshell Netflix documentary series airs this week.

One source in contact with a Netflix production insider said: “I genuinely think it’s going to be worse than the royals can imagine.

Last Thursday the first official teaser for Harry & Meghan, the Sussexes’ behind-the-scenes Netflix docuseries, dropped.

In one section of the footage, Meghan appears to be wiping away tears with both hands as they stream down her face, while Harry sits and tilts his head right back, seemingly in distress.

The couple is heard being asked: “Why did you want to make this documentary?”

Harry says “No one sees what’s happening behind closed doors… I had to do everything I could to protect my family”, while Meghan says, “When the stakes were this high, doesn’t it make more sense to hear our story from us?”

Now royal sources say King Charles and Prince William will hold crisis talks to respond to any allegations of racism or ill-treatment of Harry and Meghan in their TV series.

Senior aides to the monarch and Prince and Princess of Wales plan to watch the three episodes in order to react swiftly to any further damaging accusations against the monarchy.

A senior royal source said: “There is a completely united front from the King and his family concerning the numerous attempts to privately make peace with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, which sadly have once again resulted in the other side wishing to air their repeated grievances to the world.

“If there is a need to respond to anything in the upcoming series then you can be assured that response will be swift and robust.”

Netflix has rated the show a 15 as it contains "language and discrimination". It has also revealed more information about the documentary, which has been split into six episodes.

A spokesman for Netflix said: "In an unprecedented and in-depth documentary series, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex share the other side of their high-profile love story.

"Across six episodes, the series explores the clandestine days of their early courtship and the challenges that led to them feeling forced to step back from their full-time roles in the institution.

"With commentary from friends and family, most of whom have never spoken publicly before about what they witnessed, and historians who discuss the state of the British Commonwealth today and the royal family’s relationship with the press, the series does more than illuminate one couple’s love story, it paints a picture of our world and how we treat each other.

"From the critically-acclaimed, two-time Academy Award-nominated and Emmy-winning director Liz Garbus, Harry & Meghan is a never-before-seen look at one of the most-discussed couples in history."
