Tottenham's goalkeeping department has a new look about it going into the 2022/23 season following a number of changes at the club this summer. Seeing Fraser Forster replace Pierluigi Gollini in the first-team squad after the latter's loan spell from Atalanta was not made permanent, Spurs have also made alterations in their academy.
One month ago Tottenham confirmed the departures of 12 of their youngsters following the conclusion of their contracts at the end of June, with development squad goalkeepers Kacper Kurylowicz, Thimothee Lo-Tutala, Josh Oluwayemi and Isak Solberg all heading for the exit door. Leaving them extremely limited options between the sticks, Tottenham confirmed on Friday morning the addition of Josh Keeley to the development squad from Irish side St Patrick's Athletic for an undisclosed fee.
Winning league titles at U15, U17 and U19 level, Keeley also made two senior appearances for the club. Speaking to St Patrick's about his move to the capital, the 19-year-old has outlined why he's moved to Tottenham and when exactly the deal came about.

"I'm absolutely over the moon to be signing for such a big team like Tottenham. It's a great achievement for me and my family," said the youngster in an interview with St Patrick's Athletic. "Obviously it's everyone's dream to get over to England and to do it with such a big team like Tottenham it feels even better.
"It has been coming about for the last couple of weeks now. When I was back over on trial in February it was just kind of get over there, it was a new environment with great facilities and everything. It didn't even feel real at the start and it still hasn't hit me yet, but it's getting over there, the quality, the staff, everyone is so nice and the training ground is great."
The move will see Keeley move away from his homeland and start a new life in London. A huge move for someone so young, home is only an hour away and opportunities will be there to go and visit his friends and family.
"It's only a quick flight across the water, it's handy," revealed the shot-stopper. "It's going to be different, the lifestyle, everything, meeting new players. It's like starting over again, but it's kind of putting my head down and just getting really started now."
He added: "It's going to be huge but they have the facilities, the coaches, everything to just improve me more and more. What I'm looking forward to most is just improving my game."
