New Tottenham Hotspur head coach Ange Postecoglou has made it clear that the only person who can get away with criticising him is his wife.
The 57-year-old joined the north London club this month after leading Celtic to the domestic treble in Scotland with a fast and furious brand of attacking possession football. Postecoglou officially starts at Spurs on July 1, although the Australian popped into Hotspur Way for the day on Friday to hold meetings with chairman Daniel Levy among others.
In an interview filmed this month on YouTube for Open Goal, while giving an insight into his home life and how he just lets his sons enjoy their youth football without his interference, the then Celtic boss admitted that his wife Georgia is the one who rules the roost and will even lay into him about his own football decisions.
"I feel sorry for [the boys] at the moment because I've hardly been to any of their games and with training I just tend to drop them off," he said. "I just want them to love the game like I did. They don't need me by the side because invariably people want to talk to me, asking 'which one's your boy'.

"I don't need them to feel that way. I just want them to play their football. To be fair their mum is harder on them than I am. She gives them pelters when they get home, about their running and their effort.
"She tells me as well. I've copped it in the last few weeks with our performances don't you worry. In no uncertain terms she tells me it's not up to scratch. To be fair she's the only one that can so she gets away with it."
Postecoglou will no doubt be hoping that that there is no need for the lady of the house to chide him for his start to life as Tottenham manager.
