Tim Horton's, the Canadian coffee chain, is set to open its new drive-thru and restaurant in Stirling next week.
The new outlet, located on the site of the former Pizza Hut restaurant, will be operating at Springkerse Retail Park from Friday, March 18, at 7am.
The cafe chain - which has a menu including bagels, muffins, donuts, cakes and coffees - was founded by Tim Horton, a Canadian National Hockey League legend, who opened the first store in Hamilton, Ontario Canada.
Since then outlets have sprung up across the world, first coming to the UK in 2017. There are already several in Scotland, the closest being Stenhousemuir, Cumbernauld and Perth.
Council planners recently granted conditional approval of the company's planning application, which sought a change of use of part of the existing building to facilitate takeaway use.
In their decision, the planners said: “Although not within the town centre, the use class has previously been established and is considered to complement the existing use, therefore, the principle of the change of use of part of the building is considered to be acceptable.
“There is a proposed outdoor seating area proposed, but its extent is minimal, won’t have a significant impact on the wider area, and will assist with capacity issues that may arise if social distancing returns."

To celebrate the opening, the first fan in the drive-thru and restaurant queue will be awarded with free drinks for a whole year (a prize worth £3,100). The brand will also give away a free breakfast meal to its first 100 customers. (Conditions apply).
In addition, Tim Hortons will run a series of giveaways including free drinks and donuts for those who activate their Tim Hortons’ digital wallet. Guests will simply need to scan a QR code found at the restaurant or by visiting a link via their mobile to activate the rewards wallet.
The new Tim Hortons restaurant will open round the clock from 6am till midnight, seven days a week. The menu will feature best-selling items, including Timbits®, Iced Capps, Freshly Baked Donuts and Tims® Crispy Chicken Sandwich.
This month, the brand also launched its biggest promotion yet, with fans able to get their hands on any main meal served after 5pm - conditions apply - throughout March, for just £2.99. The offer incorporates all its popular menu items including its sandwiches, burgers, wraps and melts and includes a side of lattice fries, and a small drink, hot or cold.
Kevin Hydes, chief commercial officer at Tim Hortons UK and Ireland, said: "We're delighted to have secured a fantastic location in Stirling for our new drive-thru restaurant.
"Our existing restaurants in Scotland are hugely popular amongst the local community so we're really looking forward to bringing a brand new drive thru restaurant to the city of Stirling. The team are very excited to greet our loyal fans visiting the new location and meeting new guests too."
