Supermarket giant Tesco has opened up a brand new store directly opposite Swansea train station.
The new arrival will be a welcome sight for commuters, offering another option to grab food or drink quickly before catching their train and heading off on their journey.
It joins another new recent arrival in the shape of Greggs bakery, which has opened up around for the corner along Alexander Road.

Both businesses fill commercial units which are part of the massive new Fusion Students housing development, which when fully occupied will be home to 780 students.
It becomes the 12th Tesco store in Swansea, following on from the others which are located at De La Beche Street, Llangyfelach Road, Marina, St Helen's Road, Langdon Road, Uplands Crescent, Newton Road, Gower Road, Fabian Way, Cadle and Llansamlet.

The privately-funded project is being developed by Fusion Students, with construction partner ISG and project management company Rhomco also on board. The scheme had been completely revised from a previous version, which featured a 21-storey tower for 725 students but which was felt to be commercially unviable.
The accommodation will be a mix of apartments and studios, with all rooms en-suite and there is also a gym, cinema and courtyard, and 20,000 square feet of commercial ground floor space, where the bakery will be located.
The new Tesco store has opened on the same stretch that the former Espresso bar cafe once traded. It closed in March, 2019, to make way for the new development, something which we reported at the time "reduced grown men to tears."
