New tense Netflix movie The Strays leaves viewers crying and 'scarred for life'

Chilling new Netflix film The Strays has left viewers "scarred for life", with horror fans taking to social media to share their reaction to the tense movie.

The Strays stars Ashley Madekwe as Neve, a woman who lives a seemingly ideal life with her husband, played by Justin Salinger and their two kids while working as a deputy headmistress at a private school.

However, her picture-perfect life unravels when two strangers start following her, and soon secrets from her past start to emerge.

In the trailer, Neve appears to be stalked by the two strangers, seeing one through the window of her home while having friends over, and talking to her son at school.

Viewers were quick to share their reaction to the movie, with one person saying on Twitter : "Just finished watching The Strays on Netflix and I think I'm scared for life because what the hell did I just watch!"

Another said: "I just watched the strays on Netflix and LMAO that ending had me crying."

One viewer wrote: "Na “The Strays” on Netflix is the weirdest film I’ve ever watched."

A fourth said: "Just finished watching the strays on Netflix… idk what to say even"

One person simply commented: "The strays on Netflix is wild."

Others were unimpressed by the movie, however, with one person writing: "If you seriously want to waste your time, watch The Strays on Netflix."

In March, the tense thriller The Fall arrived on Netflix, and left viewers scared out of their wits.

Titled Fall, the production takes viewers on a frightful journey with two best pals, Becky and Hunter (played by Grace Carolina Currey and Virginia Gardner, respectively).

The pair decide to climb to the top of a 2,000ft radio tower to scatter the remaining ashes of Becky's husband Dan.

What seemed to be a good idea to mark his memory - Dan died in a tragic climbing accident - of course, the storyline has other ideas and the duo's ladder breaks mid-climb.

Stranded, the pair find themselves stuck over 600 metres in the air without any way to descend.

Just to make matters even worse, the pair's bag carrying vital supplies such as water and food drops out of their reach, resulting in the perilous task to try to retrieve it.

Fans flocked to social media to let their thoughts known. One user asked: "Has anyone else watched Fall on Netflix?," before sharing their own thoughts: "Two girls climbing a f***ing great radio tower? I’m 20 minutes in and had at least 400 heart attacks already!!!"

The view was mirrored by another user who penned: "So, those of you who suggested or spoke about Fall on Netflix… yeh I’m blaming you for my high blood pressure."

And a third typed: "Never felt as anxious watching a film as I do watching Fall on Netflix. I’m going to have nightmares."
