The team behind Cardiff Farmers Markets are launching a new street food and artisan pop-up in Riverside later this month. Marketgoers can expect wood-fired pizza, handmade gyozas, Brazilian street food and more from local vendors on the launch date of April 26.
The evening market will then run on every fourth Wednesday of the month throughout the summer following a successful trial last year. The street food pop-up will be held on the Fitzhamon Embankment opposite the Principality Stadium, the same location as the weekly Riverside market.
The new market is organised by the same team behind the well-loved Cardiff Farmers Markets which hosts stalls in Riverside, Roath and Rhiwbina from Friday to Sunday. However, the new market will be a mid-week event. The stalls will run from 5pm to 8pm so that people can go along for food and to browse after work.
There will also be arts and crafts stalls selling items such as homemade fragrances alongside the street food vendors. The launch will host some musical performances with Cardiff Singers and Chapter Singers expected to perform.
The trader line-up for the first April date includes:
· Flour’d Up – Wood Fired Neapolitan Pizza
· Tokyo Nights – Handmade Yakiori & Gyoza
· The Real Ting – Authentic Jamaican Street Food
· Tenkaichi – Sushi & Noodles
· Express Brazilian – Real Brazilian Street Food
· Kimi’s Catering – Authentic Indian Cuisine
· The Roti Shack – Malaysian Style Roti & Canai
· The Teeny Tiny Pancake Co – Inspired by the Poffertjes of The Netherlands
· Cardiff Dough & Co – Premium Brioche Doughnuts, Cookies & Coffee
· Pure Soy Meltables – Handmade & Sustainable Home Fragrance Products
