New Starbucks drive-thru opens at Merry Hill

A brand new Starbucks drive-thru has opened in the Black Country.

The coffee giant's new branch has opened at the Merry Hill Shopping Centre in a move which has created 20 new jobs.

The Brierley Hill store opened for the first time yesterday (Sept 2) and the first 100 customers were presented with free gift bags.

Store manager Mark Goule said: "We are excited to open our new store in Merry Hill and become a part of the local community. The team are closely following the latest guidance from both the government and health authorities to keep everyone safe."

Jonathan Poole, Merry Hill centre manager, added: "We are thrilled to welcome Starbucks drive-thru concept at Merry Hill, and it’s great to see that supporting the local community will be a huge focus as well.

"Following an influx of more than 10 new store openings in 2021, the arrival of Starbucks latest drive-thru underpins our performance and resilience this year, as we continue to invest in the centre and attract the very best brands for our visitors to enjoy.

"Looking ahead, we will be sharing even more exciting news with our visitors soon, and with the multi-million-pound investment transformation of the centre exterior due to be completed soon, the future continues to look bright for Merry Hill."

The new branch will be open between 6am and 10pm.
