A budget retailer is taking over an empty shopping unit in Broadmead. Signage for Savers that reads 'coming soon' has been erected over two floors in the Bristol Shopping Quarter.
The shop was the former home of show brand Foot Locker located in between Flight Centre and Sketchers, opposite the new Sparks store housed in the old Marks and Spencer building. Foot Locker opened a flagship Bristol store along the Penn Street edge of Cabot Circus in 2021.
Savers' new Broadmead site will be in addition to the branch in The Galleries just a few hundred metres away. It will be the sixth Savers store in the Bristol area, with other locations in Bedminster and Bishopston.

The retailer is part of A.S. Watson Group, the world's largest international health and beauty retailer, which also owns Superdrug and The Perfume Shop. Savers is known for its discount prices selling a variety of health, beauty, household goods, medicines and fragrances.
BristolLive has reached out to Savers for clarification on the opening date for the Broadmead location, where construction seems well underway.
