New search for missing Scots dad to take place in Lanzarote, Spanish cops say

Spanish police have confirmed they will conduct another search for missing Gary Watson who vanished in Lanzarote 13 weeks ago.

The 53-year-old, from Renfrew, vanished just hours after arriving alone to celebrate St Patrick's Day on March 17.

He checked into his hotel in Puerto del Carmen before heading to Bar 67.

The last sighting of Gary was unconscious in a doorway at 1.30am the following morning.

In the wake of his disappearance, Gary's family have been desperately searching for him and are now "fearing the worst" with no further leads on his whereabouts.

In a further bid to track him down, another search will be held at 9am on Tuesday June 20, reports Glasgow Live.

Gary's sister Debbie confirmed the Spanish police have arranged a search of Puerto del Carmen and the area where he was last seen.

They are encouraging volunteers to help out.

Gary suffers from epilepsy and type-2 diabetes; walks with a distinctive limp and was wearing a green and white Celtic football top, white shorts, and white trainers when he went missing.

He is described as being just over 5ft 2 with black/grey hair. He was last seen in the company of a group of six people inside Bar 67 before leaving.
