A new Italian restaurant has opened in Leeds at The Springs retail park. Piccolo has taken over the site that once housed Gino D'Acampo's restaurant.
Piccolo is the brainchild of the existing brand Piccolino, the name means 'small' in Italian and the new restaurant claims it will serve 'authentic' Italian dining similar to that of an Italian family home. The menus have been crafted by head chef Mark Window, who has over two decades of restaurant experience.
The menu features traditional Italian breads and doughs for pizza made by an award-winning baker as well as 'authentic' regional Italian dishes. Guests can expect to see Neapolitan Mozzarella, ham and pea frittatina, and Paccheri Arrabiata as well as a range of seafood dishes and desserts.

Other dishes include a Caprese Ravioli with tomato, basil and mozzarella, a Parma Ham (DOP) pizza with butternut squash, walnut, and chilli, and Wild king prawn guazzetto stew.
Karen Forrester, CEO of Individual Restaurant Company, says: “We are excitedly introducing Piccolo by Piccolino, which will deliver authentic Italian food and a world-class guest experience to all. With our existing teams at the helm, we look forward to welcoming both existing and new guests to our Italian family home.”
The Springs retail park also has various shopping outlets and other restaurants as well as an Odeon cinema. It is in Colton just outside the city centre.
