A new pizzeria is set to open in Wirral - but it's not your average pizza.
Three Dollar Bill will open its doors on Market Street in Hoylake later this year, specialising in Detroit-style pizza.
The new restaurant will be different to your average Italian pizzeria, instead opting to serve square pan pizza with a “crispy base, chewy cheesy crust and the sauce over the top of the cheese”, which is traditional in Detroit, USA.

Three Dollar Bill comes from the team behind one of Wirral’s most popular restaurants, Burger Joe, which has risen in popularity since launching in July 2018.
Burger Joe has a five-star rating on TripAdvisor and has even been compared to fast-food giant Five Guys - and will now be making way for Three Dollar Bill.
The company’s third venue opened in Hoylake in April 2021, and has now closed its doors in order to transform into the new pizzeria.
Three Dollar Bill gets its name from the ‘Detroit Cheers’, a community currency recognised by the Bank of America, which was only available in three dollar bill denominations.
A spokesperson for Three Dollar Bill said: “The new restaurant is based on market street in Hoylake, it will take over the Burger Joe site there and Burger Joe will relocate.
“We want to create a warm, modern family pizza restaurant, somewhere you can grab dinner with the family or a beer and a slice with your mates.
“The reaction has been brilliant. We've had massive success with Burger Joe which has become a household name on this side of the water, we can’t wait to introduce the Wirral to Detroit style pizza.”
The menu will include a variety of pizzas, in the Detroit style, as well as roasted garlic bread, tater tots, salads and more.
