Siblings bring Korean food to Slater Street with new restaurant KaiBaiBo

A new Korean restaurant run by a sibling duo is now open in Liverpool city centre.

Brothers Chris and Robin Turner opened the Slater Street restaurant KaiBaiBo in December. The venue aims to bring Korean flavour to the city, with a menu that offers dishes to suit meat eaters and vegans.

Chris and Robin grew up in Liverpool and now reside in New Brighton. KaiBaiBo aims to introduce diners to Korean flavours and ingredients that they may not be familiar with, as well as serving up popular Korean dishes and some of the brothers' favourite meals.

Robin said: "We opened KaiBaiBo just before Christmas, so unfortunately missed out on a lot of the Christmas party bookings and events. But since then we have been going well.

"We were worried about January being the quietest time of the year, but thankfully we have had a few big shares on social media which has kept us more or less full every evening.

"Of course it has been a bit manic for us, and we are still figuring things out as we go. Luckily, Chris has run his own restaurant and food stalls before as well as being operation chef and head chef for some popular restaurants."

KaiBaiBo can be found on 5 Slater Street. The restaurant is open from 12pm to 9pm on Tuesdays to Thursdays as well as on Sundays. It is open from 12pm unti 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays. You can find out more aout KaiBaiBo on the restaurant's Instagram page.
