New Real Housewives star is a former Manchester nightclub boss and had brush with fame with Corrie legend

Sarha Courtnay is making waves after joining the Real Housewives franchise after making a life-changing move.

Cheshire entrepreneur Sarha and her partner Mike Le-Gallez made the impulse decision to make a fresh start in Jersey in October.

The couple, who work in property development, moved to the picturesque island with their Maltipoos Teddy and Bailey.

Sarha, the former owner of Manchester's Suburbia nightclub with her ex husband Tom Thornton-Brookes, previously turned down the idea of starring in The Real Housewives of Cheshire.

But it was her friend Nicole Sealey, who joined The Real Housewives of Cheshire in 2020, who instigated her joining the Jersey series which launched in 2020 following the success of the first British instalment of the Real Housewives franchise.

"It's been amazing, " Sarha told us.

"I never thought it was something I would do.

"I was like 'no, no. no'. It was a running joke."

But within weeks of landing in Jersey Sarha found herself in front of the cameras after she was messaged by Nicole and put in touch with show bosses.

"We decided to make a fresh start in October and moved to Jersey at the beginning of April," she recalled.

"It was a whirlwind."

Sarha's previous brush with fame was appearing on Celebrity Stars In Their Eyes playing the flute in a band with Coronation Street legend Kevin Kennedy (Curly Watts) performing as Bryan Adams when she was 16.

Sarha, 36, is now in the process of setting up an aesthetics clinic in Jersey and she feels right at home on the island.

"There are a lot of the Cheshire people here," she said.

"I'm so glad we made the move."

And she's been getting some good advice as a reality show newcomer from fellow entrepreneur Nicole.

"She's got a lovely dry sense of humour. I think she's great," she told us.

"'What you think will look good and suit you on camera won't' - she told me that.

"And she said to stay true to yourself.

"If you're looking for someone to be a b**** and kick off then I'm not your girl.

"After working in a nightclub I'm the voice of reason."
