The award-winning Psycho Path is planning for its big return this year with bloodcurdling new experiences in store for visitors - as revealed on a new map showing the site layout.
The Halloween scream park which takes over a vast site in County Durham every year - and was recently named the best scare attraction in the UK - is upping the ante once again and the names of its main new additions alone are enough to send a shiver down the spine. While details have yet to be revealed about exactly what's in store, the extras include the likes of Dolls House, The Hunt and Crawl Space which no doubt will send imaginations into overdrive.
The new experiences, as well as previous favourites such as Iscream, Isolation and the Corn-ered maze, have been shown on the map which has just been unveiled by the Psycho Path team. The map shows the site at Lintz Hall Farm, Burnopfield, with all 12 attractions interspersed with fairground rides and street food and drink areas.
As well as the likes of Thunder Dome and pirate-theme Cutthroat Island, which will be familiar to regulars, other newcomers will be a Blood Bath Bar and a VIP terrace bar, Rise Above the Wolf, which will offer table service and am ideal vantage point from which to watch the stage shows on offer.
There will be live entertainment every night during its Friday and Saturday evening run from September 29 until October 29. The park also will be open on October 30 and the night of Halloween itself, October 31. Unveiling the map, Christiano Crawford, one of the directors and creators of Psycho Path - which won its best UK attraction title at the ScareTOUR Awards; part of the horror industry's biggest convention ScareCON - said: “Psycho Path has become something of a phenomenon and it continues to grow year on year."
“Winning the award as the best scare park in the UK has meant that we need to continue to up the ante and creating three new attractions for this year will definitely do that. The sheer size of the site now is unbelievable and it’s starting to look like a small town - a small town straight out of a horror movie!"
He added: "We can’t wait to welcome everyone and we’re confident that they’ll think this year’s Psycho Path is the best one yet.” For tickets to PsychoPath see here.
