Liz Truss has been announced today as the new leader of Great Britain, as she outfought Rishi Sunak to be appointed the next Prime Minister - following Boris Johnsons' resignation in July.
The former Secretary of State for International Trade will be appointed at Prime Minister in a ceremony led by the Queen at the Balmoral. Liz Truss has also used her victory speech to vow that she will "freeze energy bills", promising she will "deliver" on her pledges.
The former Foreign Secretary began her road into politics as a young girl, attending school in Leeds and at Oxford University. However, it has been revealed recently that she had a beginning in education in Scotland.

Liz began her schooling at West Primary School in Paisley, but residents of the area weren't sure about her ability to lead the country. Earlier this year, Glasgow Live reported that one man from the city went viral on social media after his blunt response during hustings.
The man was stopped by a Good Morning Britain camera crew as he headed into Milton Newsagents on Maxwellton Street in Paisley in August. This street was a mere stone's throw from the school where Liz began her education, and the unnamed man made it known to the public.

The short clip starts with the GMB interviewer asking the man: "Do you know who Liz Truss is?" The local responds with: "Yeah" before adding: "She went to that school there" before pointing in the direction of West Primary.
And after a slight pause, the man turns to look straight down the camera lens and says: "Don't vote for her!" while pointing to the camera, before continuing on his way.
Many responses had the man's answer to the hustings question absolutely correct. One Twitter user wrote: "Straight down the lens, brilliant."
Another wrote: "Think you would get that kind of response if you asked almost anyone in Paisley!"
A third chipped in with: "You'll always get the most sage advice on all things Tory from a Scottish person."
While a fourth wrote: "Paisley folks, buy this man a drink."
