Business company Square have opened a trial pop up space on Grafton Street that sells products from five unique Irish brands.
The pop up shop, located at 47 Grafton Street, opens to the public on Friday and will remain in operation for a three week period. The brands include jewellery company Crystal and Co, illustration brand Crayolina and sustainable lifestyle store Kind.
There are a range of ideal gifts on offer for people who have already started shopping for the festive season, such as jewellery, art prints, stationery and fragrances. Several of the brands, including Crystal and Co, have only operated online in the past and welcome having an exciting new retail presence.

Jason Lalor, the executive director of Square Europe, said: “We’re delighted to be launching Square Market and bringing an experiential store to one of the most popular retail locations in Dublin.”
He added: “We know what an incredibly important time this is for businesses to drive sales and boost awareness in the run up to the Christmas period and we’re excited to provide this opportunity along with the tools the businesses need to run and grow.”
The other two brands showcased in the pop up are Soap Obsessed, which makes bespoke soap and candles, and Abode General Store, a menswear brand offering international labels.
Square’s technology system will be in place to allow the individual brands to accept payments in their preferred forms. Crucially, customers will be able to use the technology available in store to find out more about Square and its associated products.
Square was first founded in 2009 by Jack Dorsey, the former CEO and co-former of Twitter. It is a payments platform that enables small and medium sized businesses to accept credit card payments using smartphones and tablets. The company also owns payment provider CashApp and the innovative buy now, pay later service AfterPay.
