Police searching for the "vulnerable" missing sister-in-law of actor Mackenzie Crook have issued fresh pictures of her seven days since she was last seen. The worried family of 62-year-old Laurel Aldridge have not heard from her since she left her home in Walberton, West Sussex, on Valentine's Day, Tuesday, February 14.
She failed to attend chemotherapy session that day and has not been seen since. She was last seen wearing a grey puffer jacket, a turquoise fleece, a maroon tartan scarf and a brown hat. Laurel is around 5ft 4ins with grey/blonde highlighted hair and sometimes wears glasses.
Police have conducted house-to-house enquiries in the local area while officers with dogs, a police helicopter and drones have also been involved in the search. Chief Superintendent Howard Hodges, of Sussex Police, said: “We would like to thank the public for the information which has been provided to us thus far.
"Our officers have been working around the clock pursuing multiple lines of enquiry and are determined to find Laurel. We are working closely with Laurel’s family, offering them support and providing them with regular updates on the investigation. They too have also appealed for information to help find her.”
Mr Crook, 51, has publicised the search for his relative on social media. The actor said: "It's incredibly difficult.
"She is in quite a vulnerable position at the moment.
"She's going through chemotherapy for cancer and she missed a session on Tuesday, she's very vulnerable and we're imagining she's having some sort of crisis.
"That's why we're so desperate to find her."
Anyone who sees Laurel is asked to dial 999 immediately.
