Building work on Perth's new Riverside Primary School is said to be "progressing well".
Councillors were provided with an update on progress on projects within Perth and Kinross Council's learning estate at a meeting this week.
The update was provided at the June 13 meeting of Perth and Kinross Council's Property Sub-committee.
Councillors were told the school - which will accommodate pupils from North Muirton Primary School and Balhousie Primary School - is still on target to open in April 2023.
Refurbishment work at Perth Academy is continuing. Ten classrooms willbe refurbished during the summer holidays with further classrooms being upgraded during term-time.
Perth City Centre councillors Eric Drysdale and Peter Barrett expressed concern about classrooms being refurbished during term-time and potential disruption.
An officer explained two classrooms would be done up at a time with pupils decanted to two other classrooms identified for use.
Similarly the first phase of classroom refurbishments at Perth Grammar School will be undertaken during the summer holidays which will see ten teaching spaces upgraded. This follows on from the recent completion of toilet refurbishments at the school.
Councillors were told the extension of the nursery at Rattray Primary School was now complete and will open to pupils on Monday, June 20.
Blairgowrie and Glens SNP councillor Tom McEwan said the extension to the nursery at Rattray was "much-needed" with "a high demand for childcare in the area".
After the meeting, he said: "It is great to see the nursery extension to Rattray Primary School complete. The demand for this facility and the improved early learning it will provide is vital for the families in Rattray. [It is] a Scottish Government project that also allowed for monies underspent on other projects to go towards the classroom improvements we have seen and it's great we have been able to do both these things without an impact on the council budgets."
