New Patterson's chicken restaurant to open in the former Button Street Smokehouse

A much-loved city centre restaurant has revealed it will open a second restaurant in Liverpool this summer.

Patterson’s , which is famed for its buttermilk chicken brined for 24 hours in a secret recipe, will open in the former Button Street Smokehouse , near Mathew Street.

Patterson’s has been serving the people of Liverpool their ‘famous chicken’ since opening on Gradwell Street in 2015.

However, its secret recipe has been perfected and developed for more than 40 years.

Patterson’s also has a stall in the Baltic Market, and the owners have decided to open the second restaurant due to the ‘huge demand for their famous chicken.’

Spokesperson, John Gilchrist, said: "We have some of the most loyal and die-hard regulars of any concept that I have ever worked with.

"Nine customers and staff have even got the Patterson's logo tattooed on them.

"Our brand [is] famous fried chicken, cool vibes and tunes, live sports and amazing drinks selection including our own ales, cocktails and cereal flavoured milkshakes."
