Lukas Van Ness, the Green Bay Packers’ first-round pick in the 2023 draft, will wear No. 90 for his new team.
Van Ness wore No. 91 at Iowa, but Preston Smith currently wears the number in Green Bay. While Smith offered up the number for a price, Van Ness declined and will instead drop down one to 90, the number he wore as a high school senior.
Jarran Reed wore No. 90 for the Packers last season. He left to sign with the Seattle Seahawks as a free agent.
Among the edge rushers or down linemen to wear No. 90 in Green Bay: Ezra Johnson, Vonnie Holliday and B.J. Raji. Johnson and Holliday combined for 114.0 sacks over 16 seasons with the Packers.
