The new owner of one of Glasgow's oldest pubs, which is set to reopen, has been revealed.
Christie & Co has announced it has successfully secured a new tenant for the Strathduie Bar.
The venue - which is located on Blackfriars Street in the Merchant City - is set to reopen this spring after being sold.
The firm says the lease for the bar has been acquired by Fraser McIlwraith who, with his team, plans to reopen the pub and revitalise the pub with a modern, fresh approach while still keeping its traditional feel.
The bar is known for having a rich history dating back to 1893.
Fraser said: “We’re thrilled to welcome everyone back to Strathduie Bar. Our team have worked tirelessly to create a space that honours the history of the venue, while also embracing the excitement of right now.” “Whether you're joining us for a lunchtime pint, a casual evening with friends or celebrating a special occasion, we're committed to providing an unforgettable experience for each and every guest."
Simon Watson, Business Agent at Christie & Co said: "On behalf of our client, I am delighted to have acquired experienced hospitality operators to revitalise this fantastic pub.
"Fraser and his team bring a wealth of experience and I wish them all the success with their new venture."
