New Order have announced they’ll be heading out on the road later this year… but they won’t be playing a date in Manchester. The nearest show will be in Leeds in October.
The iconic Manchester band haven’t played in Manchester since their headline show at Heaton Park in 2021, and prior to that a performance at the Bluedot festival in 2019.

They’ll play the O2 in London on September 29, the 3Arena in Dublin on October 1, the Ovo Hydro arena in Glasgow on October 5 and the First Direct Arena in Leeds on October 7, as well as dates in Europe. Tickets for the European dates go on sale at 9.30am on April 14 via See Tickets and Ticketmaster.

The band have been touring the US this spring, and appeared at the SXSW festival in Austin, Texas, last month to announce the new Beyond The Music festival, happening at various venues across Manchester in October. It’s not known yet whether the band will perform.
The band took to the stage with Greater Manchester’s mayor Andy Burnham and Oli Wilson, son of Tony Wilson, who is curating the festival. It takes place from October 11 to 14, with tickets on sale now.
