New on Steam: VLADik BRUTAL is a Shooter Game Created by a One-Man Studio

Many video games are created by studios that employ dozens or even hundreds of employees who contribute to the studios' projects. There are, however, games that have been developed and published by a single person only.

Today's featured game for New on Steam falls right into that category.

Welcome to New on Steam, the series brought to you by Player. One that tells you all that you need to know about newly released games on Steam. For today's feature, we'll be telling you more about a first-person shooter (FPS) game that has earned rave reviews on the platform, in part because it was created by just one person.

What's new on Steam? It's none other than VLADiK BRUTAL.

Early Steam Reviews

VLADiK BRUTAL has "Very Positive" reviews on Steam as of press time.

"VLADiK BRUTAL is literally if Half-Life 1 + 2 and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. had a love child," a Steam user named Joe said in a review. "Even though the game has been developed in Unreal Engine, the game has a nostalgic sourcemod feel to it, from the layout of the menus to the ambiance, and level design."

"I applaud the single dev who poured sweat, blood, and tears into this project," Joe added.

"This game is clearly a love letter to Half Life and it shows the amount of dedication the solo developer has to the theme," user Backfoot said in a separate review. "Absolutely stands on its own legs as a fairly polished game, has some killer effects like the blood spray and gore-dripping ceilings when you use the shotgun."
