They hope their new venture will provide a 'wow factor' for Nottingham city centre customers
Huyen told Nottinghamshire Live she just wanted to ‘wow’ customers and give them the best services. The 34-year-old said: “We know Nottingham quite well because both me and my husband were raised in Nottingham and we used to go to Nottingham universities and colleges so we are always thinking that it’s such a busy town and we would like to have a ‘wow’ salon with beautiful decorations inside out with the best services.
“We want something that will impress everyone from the moment that you walk into the moment you come out of the salon.”
Creating Huyen's dream of a ‘wow’ salon, Studio Eight Nottingham has a bar where customers get a free complimentary soft drink, as well as five pedicure stations, A-star quality products, a heated toilet, and a pamper area in the toilet for customers to touch up their makeup and hair.
Speaking about what makes her salon different to others Mrs Tran said: “So all the nail salons so far, they concentrate more on the acrylic and extensions and some other salons just do gel on natural nails, but none that specialise in both.
“So we want to offer from like a very healthy system that is good for the natural nails, like a dipping and the biab that is very trendy this year. This is a very new system that the other salons don’t do it or aren’t strong about it yet.
“But we are strong about both. We combine both healthy natural systems where people are just looking for natural nails and we specialise in people who want fantastic designs and want extravagant nails. Also our maximum pedicure, not just standard, we offer a deluxe and we also offer a paradise package - like what people have never experienced before.”
She said the beauty upgrades takes pampering to the next level with a fresh orange slice scrub, a hot stone massage and a complimentary prosecco with the paradise pedicure package.
Huyen said: “We bring the manicure and pedicure to an extra level. The extra mile, you never experience anything like that before. With anything you can have a standard package or you can upgrade to a deluxe package or a paradise which is at different levels.
“We also have the bar, every customer comes and has a complimentary drink - it's fantastic all in one. Mainly non-alcoholic drinks.”
Huyen added: “ There’s a nice nail wall with all the products, you’ll see the A star quality. Most are healthy products, power gel, builder gel. You can have anything from a natural classic to a full glam flashing gel.”
The staff at the business all expertise in beauty treatments such as eyelash extensions waxing, and semi-permanent makeup. However, those treatments will be coming soon to the salon.
The salon will open seven days a week from 9.30am unril 6.30pm.
