A new mural of Manchester City star Phil Foden has been unveiled in his hometown of Stockport. It’s fair to say it’s caused quite a stir.
Foden, 22, won his fourth Premier League title this year with his boyhood club City. Under manager Pep Guardiola, the youngster has gone from strength to strength - amazing fans in Europe and back home.
He bagged his second consecutive PFA Young Player of the Year title this week. Foden is undoubtedly the pride of Stockport.

It’s no surprise that a mural has been commissioned in his hometown... but its unveiling has prompted a mixed reaction.
On the corner of Wycliffe Street and George’s Road, near the town centre, the mural features a monochrome portrait of the Citizens star. But many on social media say it looks like another England player.
“Ross Barkley signs for City…” joked SPGEE2020 on Twitter. Glyn Dixon added: “Looks like Ross Barkley.”
“Who made this…like seriously,” laportapotty asked. Other said they felt the mural bore a resemblance to another City player - Portuguese international Joao Cancelo.
Søren Langelund quipped ‘Cancelo much?’, and MCFC_Tee also joked: “Not another Cancelo mural.”
Luke, who runs the MCFC Lads Twitter account that share the image, told the MEN: “I think the mural represents Phil Foden perfectly. He is a role model to the young people of Stockport and Greater Manchester."
