New mum Perrie Edwards 'not putting any pressure on herself to work out'

Perrie Edwards is being kind to her body following the birth of her first child.

The Little Mix singer, 28, and her footballer boyfriend Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, 28, welcomed son Axel into the world together back in August.

Since becoming a mother, Perrie has seemingly returned to her pre-pregnancy weight - recently showing off her enviable figure in a series of bikini snaps.

But the mum-of-one hasn't been putting too much pressure on herself - maintaining a healthy attitude towards exercising six months on from the birth of her son.

"Perrie is feeling so happy and healthy," a source has told new! magazine.

"She's in a great place. She's been enjoying working out, but she isn't putting loads of pressure on herself. And it's obviously paying off."

The former X Factor contestant recently spent a sun-soaked week in Dubai with her family, showing off her healthy and toned physique in a string of stunning outfits and skimpy bikinis.

In the past, Perrie has explained how personal training sessions and fitness plans help her keep in shape, crediting dancer Danielle Peazer with playing a huge role in her fitness regime.

Danielle - who once dated One Direction singer Liam Payne - claims the key to seeing impressive results is sticking to workouts you enjoy, mixing short bursts of cardio with leg exercises, stretching and ab workouts.

The celebrity personal trainer told The Sun in the past that she worked with Perrie "almost daily" when she was having private sessions.

Taking to Instagram in July 2020, Perrie once gave an insight into training with the personal trainer, writing: "I reached out to my girl @DaniellePeazer (very last minute [eye roll emoji]) before my holiday and she put me through my paces and I'm so thankful.

"Because for the first time, I didn't cry, I didn't pick myself apart and in the words of Elsa - I'm learning to 'Let It Go!'"

Chatting about her relationship with her appearance in November 2020, Perrie confessed she had been learning how to be kinder to herself regarding her body.

"I think, do you know what, I'm going to be honest and say, the times I actually pick myself apart and feel miserable is when I get papped in a bikini," the mum-of-one told Glamour during an interview with her Little Mix bandmates.

"Or papped in a way that one, I'm not aware that I'm being papped. And two, it makes me feel dirty. People will say to me, "Oh, you look great!" I'm like, 'Are you kidding me? Do I look like that?' Then I'll cry. Like, I'll actually cry.

She added: "I'll say, 'I'm hideous, I'm this and this'. It really gets to me and I have to remind myself to let it go. It's a few bad pictures, who cares? But it takes a lot to get to that point. It's easier said than done – it's really horrible."
