Lucy Fallon said she 'finally got dressed' before showing her support for 'Team Bambi' weeks after welcoming her first child into the world. The former Coronation Street actress gave birth to a baby boy last month after announcing back in September, at five months pregnant, that she and footballer boyfriend Ryan Ledson were expecting.
The couple, who fell in love during lockdown after they met on the celebrity dating app Raya, confirmed their newborn's birth earlier this month alongside a snap of themselves as beaming new parents with their newborn baby boy at their West Lancashire home.
Lucy, 27, and Ryan, 25, have now confirmed that they have named their bundle of joy Sonny Jude. Speaking exclusively to OK! Magazine, Lucy, who played Bethany Platt in Corrie, and Preston North End footballer Ryan, admitted there’s no particular meaning behind the name, but it was one of the only ones that the couple could agree on.
"I kept adding names to a list. I liked a lot of names that Ryan didn’t. Some were a bit out there, like ‘Fox’," Lucy told OK! Ryan laughed as he told the publication that as a Scouser, there was "no chance" his son would end up with a quirky name. "He’d get ribbed non-stop! But as the pregnancy progressed, we were calling him Sonny," he said.
But before revealing all about her birth and her first few weeks with her son, Lucy took to Instagram to show off her glamourous look as she headed out and about. The former soap star looked gorgeous as she slipped on a pair of ankle-grazing jeans which she wore with a white tee under a smart grey blazer.
She added a pair of heeled Prada loafers to her feet and added a Yves Saint Laurent bag which hung across her body as she posed in front of her mirror. Lucy gave her best stare into the camera with her shoulder-length blonde locks just flicking onto her shoulder. A second image showed the Blackpool native smiling as she gave a peace sign.
"Sunday best," she captioned the images with a sunflower emoji and was quickly inundated with compliments. Former Corrie co-star Tina O'Brien, who still plays on-screen mum Sarah Barlow in the ITV soap, simply replied: "Hotty," with a fire emoji while Daisy Midgeley actress Charlotte Jordan simply wrote: "Hair," with a love heart eyes emoji.
@dee_godin said: "You look amazing." @alanmercury007 commented: "Looking the supermum." @olivialoveschildrenswear posted: "Gorg mama." @katieparkin__ replied: "Imagine looking this good after just having a baby! Lol I cannot relate. My son is nearly a year and I still look like a bridge troll." @x_amy.allen_x added: "SO PRETTY."
Lucy also returned to TikTok as she shared a video of herself getting ready since before she gave birth when she was posting 'get ready with me' videos which are a staple of the video-sharing platform. Sharing the video on Instagram, she penned: "I got dressed," with a smiley face.
Meanwhile, Lucy also showed her support for Tommy Fury as he took to the ring on Sunday night for his long-awaited, and much-anticipated, grudge match with Jake Paul. After two cancelled fights, the 23-year-old Manchester boxer finally got in the ring with the YouTuber-turned-MMA fighter at the Diriyah Arena in Saudi Arabia.
Tommy defeated Jake by split decision after eight rounds. The long-standing feud finally came to a conclusion at Diriyah Arena on Sunday evening and Tommy took a standing count for a knockdown in the final round – with the British fighter claiming to have slipped – but had earlier done enough to earn a split decision on the judges' cards.
Taking to Instagram just before the fight began, Lucy shared a picture of her TV screen and typed: "Team Bambi," referring to Tommy and girlfriend Molly-Mae Hague's four-week-old daughter, who is just a week younger than Lucy's son, Sonny. Before facing Jake, Tommy wore his heart on his robe as he faced the biggest night of his career.
As Tommy carried out his ring walk ahead of his fight, viewers clocked his super-sweet tribute to his newborn daughter Bambi, who was born on January 23. The former Love Island star wore a white and hooded gown bearing his baby girl's name written in gold lettering on the chest. Tommy also had Bambi's name on the waistband of his shorts. The white hoodies worn by Tommy's team, including his father John, featured logos belonging to a variety of sponsors including Hague’s fake tan brand, Filter By Molly-Mae.
