New mum Jorgie Porter told she's 'winning' as she's praised for showing 'reality' of life with son after first holiday

Jorgie Porter gave her followers a 'dose of reality' after claiming her social media had been looking too 'perfect' after her first holiday with her son. The Hollyoaks actress welcomed a baby boy with her fiancé Ollie Piotrowski back in November.

The couple, who got engaged in 2021, announced they were expecting their first child together in June last year in an adorable video on Instagram. After keeping her fans and followers up to date on her pregnancy, Jorgie announced the happy news of her son's arrival by sharing her joy on Instagram as she left the hospital with her family.

The actress, from Eccles, captioned a sweet image of the new parents smiling as Ollie carried their son with the words: "Welcome to the family… Our baby boy..." And she has since been keeping her fans and followers updated with the highs and low of being a new mum to her son, Forest.

That included her recent sunshine break as Jorgie and Ollie headed off for some time away from Manchester with their baby boy in tow. Posting a selfie on Instagram of herself, her husband-to-be and their baby boy, the soap star said: "It’s just too cold… see you later Manchester." She then said: "First family holiday, definitely packed wayyyyy to much stuff but pretty sure I’ve forgotten something too," before adding: "Wish us luck."

While away, Jorgie, who is known for playing Theresa McQueen in the Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks, posted various holiday snaps to Instagram, including one of her cooing over Forest while looking glam in a knitted tank top which she paired with a shimmering silver maxi skirt.

As she donned her sunglasses on her head and rocked a luscious red lip, she shared with her followers: "So the nap timing didn’t quite go to plan. Good job he’s cute." And after soaking up the sun for a few days, Jorgie headed back to Manchester with Ollie and Forest and decided fans needed to see the reality of what was going down in their home.

"My insta was looking a little too perfect. So here’s a dose of reality," she captioned the post which featured a snap of Forest's nursery covered in piles of clothes while the four-month-old enjoyed a nap amongst it all. "Back from holiday with a bang!" Jorgie continued. "Anyone else nursery look like this? No….just me." She then pleaded: "Send help."

She also shared the post to her Instagram Story and asked: "Everyone's nursery look like this?" with a shocked face emoji before setting a poll which gave two options: "Mines worse," or "Don't be daft!"

But fans were quick to respond and tell Jorgie she wasn't alone while also pointing out her other wins, including former Hollyoaks co-star Leah Hackett who replied: "Looks tidy to me," with a crying laughing emoji.

@thebumptobabychapter said: "But the baby is sleeping so you’re winning." @mytruudyscrumptiouslife commented: "My whole house looks like this." @kanehelen wrote: "Thank you for this. I have a 13 week old and I feel I'm constantly worrying about the house being a mess."

@karolinawantstobeonholiday shared: "I have 2 boys and OMG my entire life looks like this let alone the nursery." @jennifert_84 replied: "Alll the time so nice to know I’m not alone." @bekki_jacko added: "Then they’re teenagers. Then they’re adults! It doesn’t matter what age! Always stuff on floor! You’re doing fine!"
