Jorgie Porter has sought the advice of her social media followers while also asking why pregnant women aren't told what they may encounter when they eventually have their baby. The Hollyoaks actress welcomed a baby boy with her fiancé Ollie Piotrowski back in November.
The couple, who got engaged in 2021, announced they were expecting their first child together in June last year in an adorable video on Instagram. And the joyous announcement came just months after Jorgie tragically suffered a miscarriage with quadruplets at 14 weeks.
After keeping her fans and followers up to date on her pregnancy, Jorgie announced the happy news of her son's arrival by sharing her joy on Instagram as she left the hospital with her family. The star, from Eccles, captioned a sweet image of the new parents smiling as Ollie carried their son with the words: "Welcome to the family… Our baby boy..."
And she has since been keeping her fans and followers updated with the highs and low of being a new mum to her son, Forest. Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, Jorgie opened up about her latest 'challenge' as she implored her followers for help. Sharing a selfie of her two-month-old son resting on her chest while pumping on the other side, she typed: "Todays challenge… trying to pump so my mum can look after Forest for a few hours."
The soap star, who plays Theresa McQueen in Channel 4's Hollyoaks went on to say: "Anyone else feel that in pregnancy soooooooo much is spoken about regarding birth and the baby but not a lot about what you might encounter after your baby is here? Like seriously, breastfeeding is amazing and I consider myself lucky that I haven’t had many challenges so far, but I’m starting to need to leave Forest for a few hours and honestly feel like a need a degree to figure this out.
"Apart from not knowing ‘when’ the best time is to pump is, whilst making sure he’s getting what he needs now and pumping the ‘right’ amount for later… sometimes after all the faff I’m then struggling to pump a drop at all."
She rounded off her post: "So genuinely if anyone has any tips I’d love to know and for anyone who feels like me save this post and hopefully some lovely Instagram fairies will come up with some answers to help us in the comments." And she wasn't wrong to ask as Jorgie was soon flooded with replies.

Too much focus on birth and not enough re the 4th trimester! I’d recommend haaka and the elvie wireless pump x." @katherinea_xo added: "Please don’t be disheartened by the pumped amount of milk! It is frustrating but IT IS NOT A REFLECTION of your milk supply. Baby is getting enough so don’t be put off."
Earlier this month Jorgie was praised when she shared a look at her "date night" with her fiance and newborn son at Manchester's swanky The Ivy restaurant, before posting a very different look from a shopping trip with her baby boy a couple of days later. The soap beauty provided a "dose" of reality on her Instagram - a picture of the new mum with her "hangry" baby after a "poonami explosion" that ended up all over her.
Jorgie joked as she Instagrammed a snap of herself looking up from a chair as she fed baby Forest, with most of the mess covered over with a poo emoji. "Thinking my page was looking a little too perfect so here’s a bit of insta reality," she said with a laughing emoji. "This is me praying to the gods for a way to get out of the toilet cubicle in one piece!" she said. "Hangry hangry baby and a poonami explosion all over me, yes all over me!"
She added: "I had to call for reinforcements or I would still be sat there now." And she pleaded: "Parents tell me this has happened to you too??" And Jorgie received a raft of supportive messages and praise for speaking out.
