Microsoft has announced the line-up of games coming to Game Pass this month. It includes an award-winning adventure and a role-playing football game you can play on its first day of release.
However, some Xbox Game Pass games for November are already available to play. They are Pentiment, a medieval detective story with picture book-style presentation that has received rave reviews. And Vampire Survivors, an indie sensation just added to the Xbox strand of Game Pass.
Microsoft ran through the list of further upcoming Xbox Game Pass titles on its blog. Here’s our take on the games arriving from November 17 to November 30.
November’s upcoming Game Pass games
First up, point ’n’ click adventure Norco will come to Xbox and streaming on November 17, having only been accessible on the PC version of Game Pass so far. It was the first winner of a Tribeca Games Award for excellence in art and storytelling back in 2021 and is well worth a look.
Lapin arrives on the same day, and comes to Game Pass on day one of its release. It’s a 2D platformer in which you play a rabbit. Lapin is the first game to be published or developed by Studio Doodal.
A strategy game based in the Dune universe called Dune: Spice Wars and isometric action RPG Ghostlore will also debut on Game Pass on November 17. However, these are being released as Game Previews so don’t be surprised if you encounter some wobbly parts.
Further into the month, Gungrave G.O.R.E is coming to the PC, console and cloud versions of Game Pass on November 22. This a day one release so no reviews are available yet, but it’s an action-saturated third-person shooter and a follow-up to a pair of Gungrave games released way back in the early noughties for the Sony PlayStation 2. It looks to be dumb fun.
Insurgency: Sandstorm is this month’s multiplayer pick. It picked up largely glowing reviews on release around a year ago. It’s a first-person shooter that can be played co-op or competitively and arrives on Novmember 29 .
Fancy something more unusual? Soccer Story may fit, even if you hate football. This is another brand new game that comes to Game Pass alongside Insurgency: Sandstorm on November 29. It’s no classic football game. The sport has been abolished and it’s up to you to build “soccer” from the ground up by completing quests and, eventually, playing colourfully cartoony matches.
This month’s final game is Warhammer 40,000: Darktide. It lands on November 30 for PC players only. Darktide is a four player co-op action game but, as it lands on Game Pass on its first day of release, reviews are yet to be published.
