Marella Cruises has announced it will homeport Marella Explorer 2 out of the Dominican Republic from December 24, 2024 for a series of winter sailings - returning to the Caribbean island for the first time since winter 2017.
The new homeport will offer three itineraries; The Caribbean Classics itinerary will visit Grenada, Barbados, St Lucia and St Kitts, whilst the Colours of the Caribbean itinerary will sail to; Dominica, Antigua, St Maarten and Tortola and Samana – a new port for Marella Cruises in the Dominican Republic, before it heads back to La Romana.
Marella Cruises will be offering guests more flexibility with two new shorter sailings out of the Mediterranean. Customers will have the opportunity to book four-night sailings on the The Canarian Escape 1 itinerary, which will depart from Malaga in Spain on Marella Explorer and visit Gibraltar and Casablanca in Morocco, with one sea day. The Spanish Getaway itinerary, meanwhile, will take place on Marella’s latest ship, Marella Voyager and depart from Palma in Majorca, visiting three renowned Spanish destinations: Alicante, Almeria and Malaga.
Other new shorter winter itineraries include six-night sailings from Marmaris in Turkey, Corfu Town and Malaga in Spain.
