A new map reveals where the worst drivers are across the UK - with Leeds, Bradford, Wakefield and Halifax featuring high on the list.
One area of Leeds is home to more bad drivers than anywhere else in Yorkshire. There are 1,034 drivers with six or more points on their licence in the LS8 postcode area.
That’s a higher number than anywhere else in the county. The HX3 postcode area has the next highest number in Yorkshire (912), followed by LS12 (904), WF17 (874) and LS28 (847).
However, when it comes to a concentration of bad drivers, nowhere is as bad as Bradford. The BD9 postcode area is home to 735 people with at least six points on their licence.
That works out at one in every 25 drivers (4%), which is the highest ratio in the UK. WF13 and L24 have a similar, but fractionally lower, ratio.
Meanwhile, one in every 30 drivers in the BD3, BD8, L17 and WF16 postcode areas also have at least six points on their licence, which are the next highest ratios in the country. Bradford and Wakefield also feature prominently when looking at the areas where cars are most likely to be driven by someone with at least three points on their licence.
More than one in every 10 drivers (11%) in the TF8, BD13, L17 and L24 postcode areas have at least three points on their licence, the joint highest ratios in the country. Meanwhile, 10% of drivers have points on their licence in another 17 areas nationally - B96, BD11, BD12, BD14, BD15, CF03, HX02, HX03, L19, LS12, LS14, LS28, OX49, WF12, WF13, WF15, and WF16.
