New Love Island host odds put Emily Atak, Ekin-Su and Maya Jama as favourites

Emily Atack, Ekin-Su Culculoglu and Maya Jama are the early favourite to replace Laura Whitmore as Love Island host, after she announced she was quitting the role on Monday night.

After taking over from late friend Caroline Flack at the start of 2020, Laura has hosted three series of the hit ITV dating show, being at he helm to see Ekin-Su and Davide triumph in this year's final. But on Monday night she announced her Love Island days are over as she took to Instagram to post: "Some news! I won’t be hosting the next series of Love Island.

"There are certain elements of the show I’ve found very difficult that cannot be changed some due to the format, including the flying back and forth to South Africa along with my new conflicting projects. I wish it was still possible but know you’ll be in safe hands."

As Love Island viewers continue to react reacted to the news of Laura's departure, bookmakers have been quick off the mark to identify the contenders to be her successor and it's former I'm A Celebrity finalist and comedian Emily who is leading the way early doors. Emily Atack leads the way on 5/1 with MyBettingSites , ahead of former contestant Maura Higgins, who many fans want to get the job.

Other names in the frame include Love Island 2019 winner Amber Gill, Maya Jama and male celebs like Rick Edwards and even Laura's other half, Love Island narrator Iain Stirling.

IT's a different story will William Hill, who have Ekin-Su at 2/1 and Emily and Maya both on 6/1.
