New Look is set to close one of its Cardiff stores for good later this week. After the retailer's initial announcement of store closures in January and February this year, its Queen's Arcade branch will be closing its doors on Saturday, February 25.
Multiple retailers in the UK have suffered in recent years as online shopping has become the preferred method for many shoppers. Queens Arcade has seen the closure of multiple stores and WalesOnline reported earlier this month that the shopping centre is currently in receivership. You can read more about that here.
New Look is a British fast-fashion clothing brand with over 400 stores across the world as well as an online site. The retail brand has was founded in 1969 by founder Tom Singh.

In a store announcement on its Instagram page it said:
At the beginning of February 2023, New Look announced its closure of seven UK stores including;
Birmingham, Fort Shopping Park - January 9
Trowbridge - January 23
Coventry - January 29
Birmingham, Bullring - January 30
Walthamstow, London - February 4
Grosvenor Centre, Northampton - February 15
Kirkcaldy- early February
New Look has been in Queens Arcade since 2007. The store will cease trading from Saturday, February 25 but the New Look St David's centre location will remain open.
A spokesperson for New Look said: “We are now focused on supporting our affected store colleagues and finding alternative roles for them within the business wherever possible. We would like to thank all of our customers for shopping with us during our time in the shopping centre, and the full range of our products remain available on newlook.com.”
