New Livingston Women's signing targeting success in West Lothian

New Livingston Women’s signing Brogan Anderson admits it was an easy choice to join the Lionesses.

The 25-year-old attacker left top-flight club Motherwell just a fortnight ago in a bid to better juggle her studies and football and is targeting promotion to SWPL2 during her debut campaign in West Lothian.

The Lionesses are currently sitting top of the SWF Championship and the new arrival could make her debut this weekend when Livi travel to face Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale.

Explaining the thought process behind her putting pen to paper for Paul Jaconelli’s side, she said: “I’m a full-time paramedic student studying at Queen Margaret Uni. I had been at Motherwell but I just wasn’t able to commit the time that was needed.

“I spoke to Paul and some of the girls that I’ve played with at previous clubs and quite quickly it was clear this was somewhere I felt could be a really good fit for me. It allows me to concentrate on my studies whilst combining that with playing.

“The women’s team here clearly have the support and backing of the men’s team and the facilities are brilliant. That was something that really appealed to me and was a huge selling point.

“Livingston was a club I was interested in because of all those factors and when I spoke to Paul and listened to his ideas, my mind was made up.”

She added: “There’s an obvious target that’s been set, which is promotion to SWPL2, and if I can help achieve that in any way then I’ll be happy.

I want to add to what the girls have already done. It’s still early on in the season but I’m joining a club that’s in a really good place.

“I’ve only had two weeks off since I left Motherwell and even that fortnight, I’ve really missed it so I’m happy to be here. I feel fit and ready to go if the manager wants me for Sunday.”
