MIAMI - The third Friday of 2024 marks a significant day for Latin music lovers with the release of Prince Royce and Gabito Ballestero's "Cosas de la Peda," their first 'bachata tumbada' ever, and an eagerly awaited album: "Sol María" by Eladio Carrión.
Adding to the day's musical excitement, Puerto Rican superstar Luis Fonsi unveiled his first single of the year, a ballad titled "Santiago." This song continues Fonsi's legacy of romantic melodies and is the third track of his next album, all related to different destinations. The first one was "Buenos Aires," then "Pasa la página, Panamá," and now a reference to the Chilean capital.
Meanwhile, in a nostalgic throwback, Grupo Pesado introduced a fresh rendition of "Te Amaré." This song, originally an iconic hit by Miguel Bosé released in 1978, has been revived with a contemporary twist, blending the old with the new, Mexican style, in a seamless homage.
Mexican YouTuber turned musical artist Kenia OS also surprised her fans with an innovative collaboration with Puerto Rican rapper Álvarito Díaz, although he wants to be known as Álvaro Díaz now. The track was enhanced by a very pink and interesting video.
Moreover, reggaeton composer Keytin, known for mega-hits like Karol G and Nicki Minaj's "Tusa" and Shakira's "TQG," and her session with Bizarrap, delves into his more public side with "El hubiera no existe," a song with Boricua star Lenny Tavarez.

"Sol María" is a testament to Eladio Carrión's artistic growth, demonstrating maturity and meticulousness in every aspect of his music, including thoughtful lyricism, creative compositions, and keen attention to technical detail. The production, dedicated to his mother (he titled it with his mom's name), has 17 tracks, including featurings with Rauw Alejandro, Sech, Arcángel, De la Guetto, and Duki, among others.
