A local foodbank is set to benefit when new East Kilbride pizza joint Canotto Pizza opens its doors next week.
The Detroit-style pizzeria will be dishing out FREE pizza to the first few lucky customers when they officially open on Saturday, July 2.
And EK Community Food Bank will get a slice of the action with any cash donations received on the day donated to the charity.
Co-owner Ben Stafford said: "To celebrate our re-location to East Kilbride, we will be giving away free slices of our Grandma pizza (margarita) on Saturday, July 2 from 12pm until we sell out.
"This will be on a first come, first served basis and collection only.
"As I am from East Kilbride I want us to be a core part of the community. We will be taking donations for our slices on the day to raise money for EK Community Food Bank."
The popular restaurant, formerly based in the south side of Glasgow in Cathcart's Margaretta Buildings, announced the move to the College Milton area of the town on their Instagram page earlier this month.
Canotto was started by Glasgow man Dom Morton, who quit his job as a CAD engineer after years of making pizzas at home for friends and family, with the help of his wife Gill.
Ben began working there last year during his teacher training and left his job as a PE teacher to go into business with Dom.
They have unveiled a new menu to celebrate their move to CloudQitchens in East Kilbride's College Milton Industrial Estate.
