Detailed plans for a new petrol station and drive-through in Knowsley have been agreed.
The plans, for a site off School Lane at Knowsley industrial estate close to the M57, includes three industrial units as well as the petrol station and drive through coffee shop. They were given outline permission by Knowsley Council last year.
The company, Tilstone Industrial Ltd, then submitted a further application earlier this year, which sought permission for more detailed designs for the site.

Included in the documents submitted to Knowsley Council, the company said it intends to have the petrol station open 24 hours, while the coffee shop, which has internal seating as well as the drive-through, would be in operation from 6am to 11pm.
Submitting details of the materials, layout and structure of the site, Tilstone Industrial Ltd said there would also be EV charging facilities, around 30 car parking spaces and additional services such as “air and water and the type of convenience, top-up shopping provided by any new to the market, modern petrol filling station.”
The report added: “Indeed, convenience offerings of this nature are integral to the survival of such much needed roadside facilities.”
After several aspects of the plans were revised, including height, site layout and landscaping, the company was given approval last week by officers to go ahead with the plans, subject to conditions.
