Despite being new to the UK, Tsujiri was first born in Kyoto in 1860. It is over 150 years old, and still uses the same matcha from its Japanese hometown across its restaurants today.
This vibrant green matcha can be found within most of the new cafe’s menu such as its soft serves, teas and cakes. It is also selling bags of matcha for customers to take home.
Matcha drinks have become trendy recenetly; they are loved by celebrities and said to be inundated with health benefits. The antioxidants in matcha called catechins are said to be the key to anti-ageing.
Tsujiri Leeds are serving some Christmas-inspired drinks including Mr Snowman ice cream cup, Matcha Cloud Black Chocolate Houjcha Latte, and Matcha Cloud White Chocolate Houjicha Latte, all part of 'The Joyful Memory' collection.
