New images of missing teenager released as police suspect he may have caught a bus

New images of a missing teenager from Manchester have been released as police now suspect he may have caught a bus to Cheshire.

Eric, whose surname was not given, was last seen on Bell Crescent, near Beswick at 7.46pm on Sunday (July 2). Greater Manchester Police had initially reported the last sighting of him as being 11pm.

The force has now released two new images of the missing teenager as part of a reissued appeal. Cheshire Constabulary have said enquiries suggest he may have caught a bus to Cheshire.

Eric was last seen wearing a black puffer jacket with a hood. He is described as being around 5ft 7ins tall, of a medium build, with short dark hair and black glasses.

Eric has gone missing from east Manchester (GMP)

Anyone with any information regarding his whereabouts is being asked to contact Greater Manchester Police immediately.

The appeal read: "Police are renewing their appeal to find missing Eric. He was last seen on Bell Crescent, Manchester at 7.46pm on Sunday 2 July 2023 wearing a black puffer jacket with a hood.

"Police have published updated images of Eric that could aid the investigation. Officers want to make sure he is safe and well. Anyone with information about Eric's whereabouts should contact police on 0161 856 3678."
