The team behind upscale modern Chinese eatery Tattu are plotting a brand new concept. Fenix will be a new high-end ‘Greek fusion’ restaurant, and is set to open in the new ‘Enterprise City’ area of town.
Enterprise City is slowly developing between Quay Street and Liverpool Road, with Fenix being part of the St John’s development, overseen by Allied London. It will also feature the likes of Soho House, when it arrives in Manchester next year, as well as the new Molly’s hotel and Italian restaurant Cecconi's.
Tattu opened first restaurant in Manchester in 2015, in a hail of celebs and flashbulbs, and has since opened branches in Leeds, Edinburgh, Birmingham and London.

“Our first restaurant brand Tattu started here in Manchester and thanks to the incredible reception it received we quickly became the fastest growing restaurant in the UK, opening locations in five major cities, including a rooftop flagship in central London this year,” said Adam Jones of Perfectly Unique, the company behind it.
“It therefore was only right to return to our home city to launch our second culinary venture. Inspired by Cycladic philosophies and modern Greek fusion cuisine, Fenix is a vibrant dining concept that will marry Mykonian influence with high-quality service standards and hospitality.
“Fenix will bring a truly unique and energetic experience to Manchester’s now celebrated restaurant scene.” Plans for the space will see 200 covers, as well as an internal spiral staircase.
The restaurant will also be neighbouring the new Factory venue, the huge arts space that will be home to the Manchester International Festival which will be finished next summer, and represents the largest investment in a national cultural project since the opening of the Tate Modern in 2000.
