A new food tour showing off the best of Omagh’s foodie hotspots launched on Thursday night.
A Flavour Of Omagh is holding its first pilot events this weekend, with guests being treated to an array of snacks, bites and drinks on a three hour walking tour of the Co Tyrone town.
Founder of the new experience Bronagh Gormley saids she hopes to bring something different to the town and to show off the best of its culinary offerings.

Bronagh, who also works in the Omagh Chamber of Commerce, told MyTyrone it was an idea she had been thinking about for a long time.
“It’s a food and drink walking tour which is trying to introduce people to try things they have never tried before, go places they have never gone before and trying to get people out to socialise again,” Bronagh said.
“Because it’s a walking tour it helps to keep people engaged and it’s a great way to point out local hotspots.
“We have a lot of people coming from parts of Fermanagh and then rural Tyrone as well.
“It’s exciting and just another way of promoting our market town, there are so many independent bars, restaurants and cafes.”
Bronagh added that it was her own passion for food which drove her to introduce the new venture to Omagh.
She said: “My passion is food - I love to eat out and airing my thoughts and views on food, and I thought how better to do that than bringing people with me and introducing them to the different places.
“With this being the first one it’s very much just about introducing people to Omagh.
“The intention is to run them at least twice a month for the time being, and there has been huge interest already.
“This first weekend is very important for us, it was sold out very quickly and a lot of people are just waiting and watching to see how it goes.
“But I’m very confident that they’ll be happy with what their experience is.”
After the pilot weekend, the next Flavour of Omagh food tours are due to take place on Friday 8 April and Saturday 9 April.
