New exhibition will celebrate board game produced by Creetown's young people

An exhibition celebrating a new board game produced by young people in Creetown will open on Sunday.

The “Roon the Ferrytoon” show features images created by the youngsters for inclusion on the Monopoly-type board.

Pictures of old buildings, local landmarks meeting places and former businesses make up the display.

Among the stops are the Ferry Tree, the Auld Co-op, the Temperance Inn and the Heritage Centre.

Creetown Youth Club undertook the project with design backing from local community interest company
Arts inc.

The exhibition in the youth club’s hall on Minnipool Brae will run from 2pm-4pm.

Youth club organiser Eddie McGaw , left, said: “We have 10 copies of the game and plan to have a limited number produced for sale.”

“Please come along and have a look.”
