New England boss Thomas Tuchel spotted at Tottenham v Newcastle

Thomas Tuchel was spotted in the stands for Tottenham’s clash with Newcastle on Saturday as he attended his first game as the new England manager.

The 51-year-old started his contract as the new Three Lions boss on New Year’s Day and is already getting to work.

Cameras picked up former Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel as he took to his seat in the stands at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the lunchtime kick-off.

Thomas Tuchel Gets To Work As The New England Manager

Thomas Tuchel kick starts his weekend in north London with his visit to Tottenham‘s stadium with assistant Anthony Barry.

The match between Spurs and Newcastle will give him the opportunity to see the likes of Dominic Solanke, James Maddison, Anthony Gordon and Lewis Hall.

He will then attend other Premier League games across the weekend.

Tuchel and his team will then visit training base St George’s Park for the first time next week.

Tuchel’s first matches in charge will be World Cup qualifiers against Albania and Latvia in March.

His contract runs through to the World Cup final in the summer of 2026.

Tuchel Ready To Reach Out To Ben White

One player Tuchel is keen to bring back into the fold is Arsenal star Ben White.

White’s absence from the England setup has been the subject of scrutiny since he left the 2022 World Cup camp in Qatar.

Reports suggest the withdrawal was due to a disagreement with former assistant coach Steve Holland, which saw White step away from the England setup entirely, missing major international tournaments since then.

Gareth Southgate’s recent departure and Tuchel’s appointment as England manager have reignited speculation about whether the Arsenal star could make a U-turn on his availability.

The German told reporters at December’s World Cup qualifying draw in Zurich: “I will reach out to him. It should be a clean start and a clear narrative.

“I will be in the stadiums from January. I will also not distract the players and they should just know: ‘Okay, the boss is there from January’.”

White has only played four times for the Three Lions at senior level.
